The Council of Ministers has approved the Royal Decree approving the statute of the Spanish Agency for the Supervision of Artificial Intelligence (AESIA).
The Digital Agenda 2026 prioritizes technological advancement and digital transformation. Among its strategic plans is the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy (ENIA), which seeks to offer a framework for the development of an “inclusive, sustainable and citizen-centered” Artificial Intelligence.
This strategy is one of the measures of Component 16, Reform 1 of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR), which aims to position Spain as a leading country in AI.
